Walking Eagle and Spirit of the Wind staff welcomes you to the sacred Sweat Lodge Purification Ceremony on the sacred grounds of Stewart Mineral Springs.

The Sweat Lodge is the traditional way of cleansing body, mind and
spirit. By sweat and prayer, we can clear our bodies of toxins, our
minds of negativity, and reconnect with our inner spirit.

Walking Eagle, a Karuk Spiritual Leader, will guide you and others
in prayer, song and healing in the Lodge.

In order to participate in the Ceremony, you must respect the following:

No one who has been under the influence of drugs
(including Marijuana) or alcohol in the last 24 hours
is allowed in the ceremonial area or in the Sweat Lodge.

No drugs or alcohol allowed in the ceremonial area.

Women who are on their moon cycle are not allowed in the ceremonial area or to participate in the ceremony. This is            because the woman has within her the sacred power of birth            and this is a ceremony of a spiritual rebirth. The power of
birth cannot clash with the power of rebirth. We respect this            separation and hold women in high regard on their moon            cycle.

Modesty is requested at all times.
Men must wear shorts or a bathing suit.
Women must wear shorts and a t-shirt, a well covering
Sarong, or a loose fitting dress.

There is no charge for the Sweat Lodge Ceremony, however,
Walking Eagle works with the spirit of giveaway
and supports his family through the donations you give.

Please bring your own towel and water bottle to the ceremony.
